An original shop advertising jar…

Dating to the earlier part of the 20th century, this is an original glass display bottle for Zubes throat lozenges. Offered in brilliant condition, this piece is quite rare and unique in the fact that it has never been opened! The jar has a clear label in the top stating the pieces inside are for display only and should not be eaten. Therefore suggesting this was used in an old chemist or grocery store to display the brand of lozenges

The jar as a piece of glass is in super condition and although the insides are untouched, one will note that some of the lozenges have probably melted in time with exposure to the sun (as an example). That said, this is a unique piece of advertising that shows its charm and authenticity…

We are offering these pieces in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is some natural wear and tear. The jar itself is in great condition, yet there are some small surface scars and abrasions and some tatty areas in places, (specifically to the outer label. We don’t believe the areas of wear and tear are detrimental to the overall structure or look and feel. Please do study the photos to help with your analysis as it would be hard to highlight all imperfections…

Condition : Structurally good, some surface marks and scratches, a little tatty and dirty in areas, the insides are melted and hardened in areas
