Product Description

A beautiful taxidermy example of a Mouflon…

Although we are unsure of the exact age of this piece, we believe it would date to the mid 20th century onwards. The Mouflon is a subspecies group of the wild sheep and is thought to be one of the two ancestors for all modern domestic sheep breeds

This particular piece is quite charming. The taxidermist has done a fine job, and accompanied with some battle damage to its horns, the Mouflon shows an authentic look and feel. It’s a little tatty and dirty in areas, yet we feel this it what gives the piece its charm…

We are offering this piece in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is some natural wear and tear. There are some surface scars and scuffs to the Mouflon itself and to the wooden shield. The item is a little tatty and dirty in areas, yet we feel this simply adds to the authenticity. Please do study the photos to help with your analysis as it would be hard to highlight all imperfections

The shield has a small fixing on the rear, enabling the Mouflon to be fixed to a wall with a small screw…

Please note : The stool is used for photography purposes only and not included within this listing
