Dating to the mid part of the 20th century, circa 1960s, the chairs are offered with a used patina. Made in tubular steel and a ply wood finish, the chairs are structurally good and offered in a strong and stable condition. If you are looking for chairs in mint condition, then this possibly isn’t the set for you. If you like the used and authentic look, then we have a perfect run of eight matching chairs available (priced individually)
We love the weathered nature and patina of the chairs, which occur in different areas. The chairs majorly have surface scars and scratches, the odd chip or loss to the wood and some surface staining. In general, the chairs have a used look, yet they are charming in the flesh and perfectly functional for ones home or a retail or ‘foodery’ environment. Maybe a clear wax or polish could give these a different appeal, but we just love them as they are..
We are offering the chairs in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is some natural wear and tear. There are some surface scuffs and scars to the surfaces and general wear and tear across the chairs. There is rusting and paint chipping to the steel, yet we feel the current condition simply adds to their charm and authenticity. Please do study the photos to help with your analysis as it would be hard to highlight all imperfections…
Please note : The chairs are priced individually. We currently have a matching run of eight available
