A pair of functional, stainless steel filing cabinets, circa mid part of the 20th century…

SKU: RC0980.

Product Description

An original railway station ‘Waiting Room’ sign…

Although we are unsure of the exact age of this piece, we believe it would date to the mid part of the 20th century, onwards. The sign advertising the Waiting Room would have been attached to a wall or fixture on the railway platform. The sign is in good condition, and the enamel in a White and Black colour way. The Black letters are slightly raised from the surface…

This functional piece could be functional in any setting, that being retail, entertainment or even one’s home for a bit of fun!

We are offering this piece in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is some natural wear and tear. There are some surface scars and abrasions to the sign with some small areas of enamel loss and some paint chipping. There’s an element of rust and some tatty areas, but they simply add to the charm and authenticity. Please do study the photos to help with your analysis as it would be hard to highlight all imperfections…
