Product Description

An original enamel sign from a railway station…

Although we are unsure of the exact age of this piece, we believe it would date to the earlier part of the 20th century, circa 1930s. This is a genuine sign with an authentic patina, and we believe it would have been situated further down the track of a railway station, as an indicator to the train driver.  The condition is great considering its age, and we love the weathered look and the splattering of enamel loss and rust

There are some rusty and tatty areas, but the condition of the sign in general is nice and clean. The writing and subject matter is majorly in view, therefore making this a great collectable or an alternative piece of wall decor. A cool, authentic piece of railwayana…

We are offering this piece in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is some natural wear and tear. The sign is structurally great with some obvious tatty areas, paint chipping and rust. Please do study the photos to help with your analysis as it would be hard to highlight all imperfections…
