Product Description

A cool Passe-Boules fairground game…

Although we are unsure of the exact age of this piece, we would suggest it dates to the earlier part of the 20th century onwards. Made in a thin wood and hand painted, this piece is of French origin. This traditional ‘tossing game’ was designed for individuals to throw balls at the target, aiming for the figures’ mouth. Once inside the target, the ball would drop into one of the two holes to reveal the points scored

We are offering this piece for decorative purposes, as we think it would look perfect graced on a shelf in ones home, or even on display in a window in a retail environment. This piece is naively built, therefore there are some jagged edges and some tatty areas, yet we simply feel that it adds to its charm and authenticity…

We are offering this piece in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is natural wear and tear. Structurally the piece is in good shape, yet there are some surface marks, scratches and paint chipping. There are a few tatty areas to the build here and there as suggested above. Please do study the photos to help with your analysis as it would be hard to highlight all imperfections…
