Product Description

A cool hand made jester mask…

Although we are unsure of the exact age of this piece, we believe it would date to the mid to late part of the 20th century. Probably used as a theatrical mask for a performance or maybe designed just as a decorative piece, this has been made with care and craftsmanship

Made in papier mache and hand painted, the jester mask is complimented with a splattering or small bells on the majority of pointed ends. The paint work is very nice, and the cracked patina gives this a really good authentic feel. A nice piece of decor for a bare wall with a handy strap on the reverse for mounting…

We are offering this piece in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is some natural wear and tear. There are some surface scuffs and scars to the surface and some chipping in areas to the paint. Structurally the mask is great, although a little tatty in areas.. Please do study the photos to help with your analysis as it would be hard to highlight all imperfections…
