Product Description

A really cool model of the mining process…

Although we are unsure of the actual age of this piece, we believe it dates to circa 1970s. Contained in a wooden carry case, the mining model is hand made in wood, hand painted and protected by a perspex cover. It’s an exceptional piece and the craftsmanship is amazing. Starting above ground, we love the hand made buildings and of course the train…

The educational piece itself simply slips under a ledge within the wooden box and is held in place by two bolts. There are some old stickers on the wooden box to show its heritage, namely this would have been used maybe in a school library, or even a museum piece. We believe it is a true one off…

We are offering this piece in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is some natural wear and tear. model is great structurally yet it does show some minor surface marks and scratches and some paint chipping. It is of an old nature, therefore there are elements that show their age. Please do study the photos to help with your analysis…

A great collectable piece and one that is functional too…
