Product Description

An original Railway Station ‘Gentlemen’ sign…

Dating back to the mid 20th century, circa 195os, this is a genuine sign with an authentic patina. The condition is great considering its age. We love the weathered look, the splattering of rust and the original paint. Originally used to advertise the gents toilets on the platform, the sign is single sided in White and Blue

There are some rusty areas and some tatty areas, but the condition of the paint in general is shiny and clean. The writing and subject matter is majorly in view, therefore making this a functional piece as well as a collectable or piece of wall decor. The areas of rust seeping through completes the original and authentic look

We are offering this piece in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is some natural wear and tear. The sign is structurally great with some obvious tatty areas, paint chipping and rust. The sign is has a natural slight bend, but it would sit flat when attached to a wall. Please do study the photos to help with your analysis as it would be hard to highlight all imperfections…

A cool and collectable sign…
