Product Description

A stunning hand made rocking horse…

Although we are unsure of the exact age of this piece, we believe that it would date to the latter part of the 20th century, maybe earlier. Hand made in fibreglass, the rocking horse has been hand painted in a fairground style to depict a Dobby horse, traditionally found on a juvenile fairground carousel. The horse sits perfectly (and securely) on a metal frame, the moves with a seamless motion back and forth when pushed…

The entire piece is in fine condition; strong, durable and beautifully finished. The horse also has two fitted stirrups and buckles which form good foot rests for the youngsters who are having a ride

We are offering this piece in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is some natural wear and tear. There are some surface scuffs and scars across the piece and some odd areas of paint chipping. That said, nothing that is detrimental to the performance of the horse or indeed its look and feel. Please do study the photos to help with your analysis as it would be hard to highlight all imperfections…
