Although we are unsure of the exact age of this piece, we would suggest it dates to the mid part of the 20th century onwards. If you like a bit of rust and are a petrol head, then this piece could appeal to you. It’s absolutely awesome!
Made from a variety of materials including a steel frame and plastic trimmings, the bike is solid in its structure and has a fabulous patina from years of storage and usage. The bike perfectly ‘free stands’ on its cast iron base, which would have originally attached the bike to the base of the roundabout or carousel. This would look awesome on display in a shop window, or even a nice addition to a games room or man cave…
This particular example shows plenty of wear and tear but we think it is beautiful left in this particular condition. There’s some tape around the handle bars and the Harley sticker is probably an additional piece, yet all in all it has the look! A rare piece, one that we haven’t seen before in our years of selling fairground items
We are offering this piece in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is some natural wear and tear. There are surface scuffs and scars, paint chipping, rusty areas and imperfections across the piece. That said, we simply feel the current condition adds to its charm and authenticity. It’s generally a little tatty and dirty in places, but structurally it’s in good shape and quite ‘weighty’. Please do review the photos as it would be difficult to highlight all of the imperfections
Condition : Structurally good, surface scars and scratches, rusty in places, dirty and tatty in places, some chipping to the paint in places, some imperfections across the bike. Please ask for more information or photos if desired…
Postage : Due to the size and weight of this item, it is listed as local collection only. We do however have an affordable courier on hand who would happily provide a postage quote to your address
