Product Description

A cool fairground ‘knock down’ game…

Although we are unsure of the exact age of this piece, we would suggest that it dates to the latter part of the 20th century, circa 1990s. Three hand made camels are attached via hinges to a wooden base, enabling one to throw a ball at them to ‘knock them down’. The entire piece, that being the camels and the stand are naively built, yet for us this shows the originality and the authenticity of the pieces. It’s lightweight, so it may need securing to a fixture to enable ‘game playing’. We actually think this would look cool as a display piece on a shelf in ones home…

We are offering this piece in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is some natural wear and tear. The stand is naively built in wood, with the thin wooden camels attached to it via some small hinges. Structurally the entire piece will ‘free stand’, yet as above, one may need to secure it to something or place a weight on top of it for game mode. There’s an overall weathered look and feel, with surface marks and chips, tatty wood and paint chipping, yet we feel this adds to its charm. Please do study the photos to help with your analysis as it would be hard to highlight all imperfections…
