Product Description

A cool and original clown head from an old fairground game…

Dating back to the mid part of the 20th century, circa 1960s, this clown head would have been one of many lined up in a row on a fairground side stall, with customers shooting water guns at them. The idea was to try and fire water into the clown’s mouth by directing the water gun at them. The objective would mainly have been racing to blow up a balloon attached to a fixture next to the head itself. An iconic piece from a popular fairground game

This particular piece is in its original condition and features its original paint. Cast in fibreglass, the clown head is structurally strong yet relatively light weight. It perfectly free stands on its own, so this could form an alternative piece of decor for the home, or it would look great in a retail setting…

We are offering this piece in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is natural wear and tear. The head is structurally good, yet there are some surface scuffs and abrasions. The paint chipping and current condition shows its authenticity and charm. Please do study the photos to help with your analysis as it would be hard to highlight all imperfections…
