Product Description

A rare advertising piece for Cuprinol…

Although we are unsure of the exact age of this piece, we understand that it could date to the mid part of the 20th century. Recently discovered in Denmark, this is and original shop advertising display piece. The figure, made in clay and hand painted in Grey is a cool and quirky item. It has a little weight to it, therefore it perfectly ‘free stands’. The notable ‘C’ is cleverly featured in the chaps belly, and we love the little bucket and brush that he is obviously holding…

A fun piece that would interest one who’s a collector of of advertising, or in fact a current painter and decorator who would like a fun display piece for their home…

We are offering this piece in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is some natural wear and tear. Structurally the piece is strong and sturdy, with a weathered surface in areas. There are some small chips to the clay and and the paint, yet we feel this simply adds to its character. Please do study the photos to help with your analysis as it would be hard to highlight all imperfections…
