Product Description

An interesting Christian cross…

Although we are unsure of the exact age of this piece, we believe it could date to the mid part of the 20th century onwards. Made in a thin metal, maybe tin the cross is relatively light weight. The cross is painted in Blue, yet there is a White pattern that runs through the piece in an abstract fashion. The interesting and possibly macabre part of the piece is that the four ends of the cross are made with the lids from urns… This adds an authentic feel and makes the piece quite unique

The cross has a nicely placed eyelet so that one can wall hung this piece with ease. It’s tatty, and dented in areas yet the surface patina makes this a fantastic display piece…

We are offering this piece in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is natural wear and tear. Structurally the entire piece is in good condition but please do expect that there is wear and tear consummate with age. As suggested above, the piece is tatty, dirty, has some rusty areas and a general weathered nature. Please do study the photos to help with your analysis as it would be hard to highlight all imperfections…
