Product Description

An original and rare enamel sign…

Dating back to the earlier part of the 20th century, circa 1920s, this is a genuine rare sign with an authentic patina. This is how we love our signs; it’s rusty, it’s beaten up, yet it’s got buckets of character and would make a superb wall piece. We love the weathered look, the splattering of rust and the original pictorial paint work

The sign is double sided, and in very similar condition both sides. It’s vibrant with good colours and a great subject matter. It could easily be wall mounted, and we think this would look ace on the wall in ones home or maybe in a retail setting…

You’ll note that there are some rusty areas and some tatty areas, but the condition of the paint in general is shiny and the sign is in tact as one piece. The writing and subject matter can be seen majorly, but we just love the areas of rust seeping through, completing the original and authentic look

We are offering this piece in ‘as found’ condition, therefore there is some natural wear and tear. The sign is structurally good with some obvious tatty areas, losses, paint chipping, sharp edges and rust. Please do study the photos to help with your analysis as it would be hard to highlight all imperfections…
